The Board of directors, under the suggestion of some of our Church members, recently elected to reserve 10 percent of all monthly membership donations to a "community emergency fund," intended to support our members in times of difficulty. Proposed by member Jenni Legend, the fund will be available to any community member who incurs financial hardship through unforeseen circumstances.
We are currently developing a committee to manage the fund and establish criteria for support. Members interested in joining the committee can click the button at the end of the post and express your desire to participate. We are looking to build an eventual committee of five members, which will rotate every 3 years.
